But the parts lean on real work: Michael Cunningham (1986) found high, prominent cheekbones rated as attractive, and Marquardt-style facial-thirds anthropometry treats a balanced, tapering lower face as 'harmonious.' Translation: the underlying cues are studied, the branded 'V-taper' label and its ranking power are forum packaging.
