Refund Policy

Membership should earn its keep — and if it doesn’t, getting your money back shouldn’t be a fight. Here’s exactly how billing, trials, cancellations, and refunds work, in plain language.

Effective June 7, 2026

14-day money-back guarantee

Not feeling the room within two weeks of your first charge? Email us and we’ll refund it in full. Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing.

01 · Billing cadence

How and when you’re billed

cashout.community is a recurring membership. You choose a plan at checkout, and your card is charged automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel:

  • Monthly — billed every month on the calendar date you first subscribed. Each charge covers the month ahead.
  • Annual — billed once every twelve months, up front, at a lower effective monthly rate. Each charge covers the year ahead.

All prices are shown and charged in the currency listed at checkout, inclusive of any applicable taxes where required. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store your full card details on our servers. A receipt is emailed for every successful charge, and upcoming renewals appear in your billing portal so nothing is a surprise.

02 · Free trials

Free-trial terms

When a free trial is offered, you get full member access for the stated trial length at no charge. We ask for a payment method up front so your membership continues seamlessly when the trial ends.

  • You are not charged at any point during the trial window.
  • If you do nothing, your paid membership begins automatically when the trial ends, at the plan price you selected, and the first charge lands that day.
  • Cancel any time before the trial’s final day and you will not be charged at all. The cleanest way to avoid a charge is simply to cancel before the trial ends.
  • One free trial per person. Trials are not offered on plans that already include introductory pricing.
03 · Cancelling

How to cancel — you’re always in control

There are no retention mazes here. You can cancel your membership yourself, at any time, in under a minute:

  1. Sign in and open Settings → Billing.
  2. Select Manage billing to open the secure Stripe customer portal.
  3. Choose to cancel. You’ll see a clear confirmation of when access ends.

When you cancel, your membership stays active through the end of the period you’ve already paid for — you keep everything you’re entitled to until then, and you are not billed again. After that date, your account reverts to a free pass. Cancelling is not the same as requesting a refund; see the next section for when money comes back.

04 · Refund eligibility

When you’re eligible for a refund

We want the room to be worth it, not to trap anyone who decides it isn’t. Our refund window:

  • 14-day money-back guarantee on new memberships. If you request a refund within 14 days of your first paid charge, we’ll refund that charge in full — no interrogation required.
  • Annual plans are covered by the same 14-day window from the date of the annual charge.
  • Renewal charges (any charge after your first) are generally non-refundable, because cancelling before a renewal date prevents the charge entirely. If a renewal caught you off guard, reach out within 7 days of that charge and we’ll review it in good faith.
  • Billing errors — duplicate charges, charges after a confirmed cancellation, or amounts that don’t match your plan — are always refunded in full, no time limit.

Refunds are not available where they’d be abusive — for example, repeatedly subscribing and refunding to harvest member-only content. Where local consumer-protection law grants you stronger rights than this policy, those laws apply and override anything narrower here.

05 · Pro-ration

Pro-ration: how partial periods are handled

Outside the money-back window, membership is sold per period, and we do not pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of a period you’ve already started. Concretely:

  • Cancel mid-month or mid-year and you keep full access until the period you paid for runs out — we simply don’t bill the next one.
  • We don’t issue partial refunds for “days not used” after the 14-day window. Instead, you get the time you paid for in full.
  • If you switch between monthly and annual, Stripe applies standard proration so you’re only ever charged for the difference, never double-charged for overlapping time.
06 · Founding members

Founding-member terms

Founding members locked in early to support the build, and a few terms are specific to that tier:

  • The same 14-day guarantee applies. If founding membership isn’t for you, request a full refund within 14 days of your founding charge.
  • Your rate is honored for as long as you stay subscribed. A founding price holds while your membership is continuously active. If you cancel or let it lapse, the founding rate and your place on the founding wall may not be available to reclaim.
  • Founding status is a recognition, not a tradable asset. It can’t be transferred or sold, and refunding your founding membership releases the associated benefits.
07 · Requesting a refund

How to request a refund

Refunds are handled by a human, usually within two business days. To request one:

  1. Email billing@cashout.community from the address on your account.
  2. Include the email or handle on your membership and, if handy, the date or receipt number of the charge you’re asking about.
  3. A one-line reason is appreciated so we can keep improving — but within the 14-day window it’s not required.

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe. Banks typically post the funds within 5–10 business days; the exact timing is up to your card issuer. We’ll email you the moment the refund is issued on our side. General questions? Reach us at support@cashout.community.

08 · Chargebacks

A note on chargebacks

If something looks wrong with a charge, please email us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute, and a direct refund reaches you sooner than a chargeback would.

Opening a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank before contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated, and can complicate or delay any refund you’re actually owed. We keep clear records of access and billing and will respond to disputes accordingly. We’d much rather sort it out with you directly — that’s what the inbox is for.

This Refund Policy supplements our Terms of Service and may be updated from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Still have a question about a charge? Email billing@cashout.community and a person will get back to you.
