what it is
mogging means visibly out-ranking someone on looks in the same frame — you stand next to a guy and the camera, the room, the group all read you as the better-looking one. it spawned a whole vocabulary: heightmog, jawmog, framemog. the core claim is that attractiveness is a ranking and every interaction silently sorts you against whoever you're near.
the origin
there's no founding study. 'mogging' is community slang from the PSL/looksmaxxing forums of the 2010s, built on top of the older 'AMOG' (alpha-male-of-group) from pickup-artist culture. nobody coined it in a journal — it's internet folk-theory dressed in pseudo-clinical language. treat 'jawmog' and 'canthal tilt' like fan-fiction terminology, not science you can cite.
