Circadian Skin Repair

Your skin runs on a clock. It fixes itself on the night shift, not while you doomscroll.

Grounded in the research on Circadian rhythm

It's a real circadian rhythm, not a skincare myth

Your skin has its own ~24-hour clock baked into the cells. Keratinocytes and fibroblasts run autonomous circadian oscillators driven by the same core clock genes as your brain: CLOCK, BMAL1, PER and CRY. The master pacemaker (the suprachiasmatic nucleus in your hypothalamus) syncs to light hitting your retina, then entrains your skin's peripheral clock. Skin is the largest peripheral clock in the body. Daytime = barrier defense mode. Nighttime = repair mode. This is documented across dermatology and chronobiology, not a serum ad.

Daytime is defense, night is the repair shift

During the day your skin is in protect mode: more sebum production, higher surface pH, tighter barrier, antioxidant enzymes peaking to fight UV and pollution. At night it flips. Blood flow to the skin rises, temperature rises, and the barrier gets more permeable (which is why you lose more water overnight, transepidermal water loss peaks at night). That same permeability is what lets repair happen and is why actives absorb better after dark.
