Bizygomatic Width
the widest line across your face, and why looksmaxxing forums won't shut up about it

the measurement
bizygomatic width is one number: the straight-line distance between the two widest points of your cheekbones, the zygomatic arches. it's the broadest measurement across your face. physical anthropologists have logged it for over a century with calipers on a skull, point to point. on TikTok it's the thing people eyeball in a front selfie when they call a face 'wide' or 'narrow.'
where it comes from
this isn't an internet coinage. 'bizygomatic breadth' is standard craniofacial anthropometry, the cheekbone span sitting in the same toolkit Leslie Farkas formalized in his 1980s/1994 anthropometric atlas of the head and face. so the term is legit and old. the looksmaxxing meaning, that wide = 'high status,' is the new bolt-on. keep those two apart.
